Isabellenhütte IVT-S Series

The IVT-S intelligent current and voltage measurement module is a shunt-based plug-and-play measurement system, continuously measuring current from a selection of 5 current ranges (100A, 300A, 500A, 1000A and 2500A), converting the information into a digital signal and communicating the signal via the industry standard CANbus 2.0 interface. The data is processed utilising a 16-bit AD converter at the speed of 1kHz. The modules are offered as a modular design, with the optional extras including outputs for voltage monitoring (three voltage channels are supplied, ideal for battery or relay monitoring applications) and additional CAN port to enable daisy chaining, all in a compact package of only 84x83.2x16.2mm. The IVT-S modules offer guaranteed galvanic isolation up to 1000V making it suitable for high voltage applications. The temperature sensor within the module is utilised for temperature calibration, ensuring excellent precision of ±0.5% across the whole temperature range, for greater safety, and to provide temperature reading off the shunt as requried.

  • Intelligent shunt-based current and voltage measurement sensor for high voltage applications

Isaohm®

Isaohm® is a Nickel-Chromium alloy (NiCr20AlSi) offering high resistivity, low temperature coefficient, low thermal EMF compared to Copper and high tensile strength. It is also resistant to oxidation and chemical corrosion, allowing the working temperature of up to +250°C for precision resistors/current measurement applications (when used for heat generation it can be used for much higher temperatures). Isaohm® is available in form of round wires from 0.01 to 0.6 mm2 which can be bare, oxidised or enamelled to the highest standard, stranded wires and flat wires.
As with all Isabellenhütte alloys, all manufacturing from the raw material is done at their German plant with state-of-the-art equipment and under continuous testing to achieve fully tracked manufacturing process. This allows Isabellenhütte to make slight adjustments in order to melt an alloy tailored to a customer's requirement, such as adjusting the resistivity by special heat treatment. Please see the datasheet in the Technical library, however, do not hesitate to contact us if what you require is not exactly matched.

Isotan®

Isotan® is a versatile Copper-Nickel alloy (CuNi44Mn1), low temperature coefficient and high resistance to oxidation and chemical corrosion. While it can be used for electrical resistors and potentiometers, it is not suitable for precision components due to its high EMF compared to Copper. Isotan® can be supplied in wide range of grades, qualities and versions depending on the application and customer's requirements (such as custom standardised temperature range). The most commonly it is used as a negative leg of thermocouple types J, L, T, U or E, extension and compensation leads. Isotan® is available in form of round wires from 0.03 to 10mm2 which can be bare or enamelled (between 0.05-1.5mm2), flat wire, ribbons or rods.

Please see the datasheet in the Technical library for outline guide of properties. When submitting an enquiry for Isotan®, please provide information about the application and/or any specific requirement for the alloy properties - this allows us to judge the best grade/version of Isotan® and offer the best possible price.

  • Thermoelectric/Resistance alloy CuNi44Mn1

Manganin®

Manganin® is a Copper-Manganese-Nickel alloy (CuMn12Ni) invented by Isabellenhütte in 1889 and perfected over the years to excellent quality and long term stability of electrical resistance. It features a very low-temperature coefficient between +20°C and +50°C with a parabolic shape of the R(T) curve, extremely low EMF (vs. Copper), average specific resistance and good working properties. Manganin® is used by Isabellenhütte for their own components, particularly the ISA-WELD and ISA-PLAN resistors. It offers maximum working temperature in the air of +140°C, with higher thermal loads in a non-oxidising atmosphere available. Manganin® is available in form of round wires from 0.02 to 8.00 mm2 which can be bare or enamelled to the highest standard, stranded wires, flat wires, ribbons or rods.
As with all Isabellenhütte alloys, all manufacturing from the raw material is done at their German plant with state-of-the-art equipment and under continuous testing to achieve fully tracked manufacturing process. This allows Isabellenhütte to make slight adjustments in order to melt an alloy tailored to a customer's requirement. Please see the datasheet in the Technical library, however, do not hesitate to contact us if what you require is not exactly matched.

Rhopoint M210 Milliohm Meter

Manufactured by Rhopoint Instruments Ltd in the UK, the M210 Milliohm Meter is a portable, low resistance digital meter designed to measure over the range 0.001Ω to 200Ω. A high degree of accuracy is achieved by utilising a four-terminal input to eliminate errors caused by test lead length. One of the most important features of the milliohm meter is its low (0.005A) test current. This ensures the contact being tested is not 'cleaned' by the test current which can happen when higher test currents are used. This 'cleaning' of the contact under test leads to erroneous measurements.

  • ±0.1% range accuracy
  • Only 5mA test current
  • Single push button operation
  • Auto ranging (1.999Ω, 19.99Ω and 199.9Ω)
  • Measurement increments of 0.001Ω, 0.01Ω and 0.1Ω
  • Auto switch-off after 3 minutes
  • 20 hours continuous operation (from standard PP3 battery)
  • Supplied with a set of standard test leads with spring clip connectors (Part No. M210/9A)
  • Is fully calibrated and supplied with UKAS calibration certificate

Typical applications where resistance measurements are required include:

  • Relay, switch and connector contacts

  • RFI shielding and coil resistance
  • Network cabling
  • Aircraft bonding check

The M210 milliohm meter is powered by a single 9V (PP3, MN1604 or equivalent) battery (not included).

Each M210 meter is supplied with:

Rhopoint M210/9A 4-terminal spring clip connector lead set for M210 Milliohm Meter

Replacement set of 4-terminal spring clip connector lead set for Rhopoint Instruments' M210 Milliohm Meter. The M210/9A set includes two leads connecting to the Milliohm Meter by two 4mm plugs. Each lead has a two-terminal crocodile clip at the end, which clips onto the tested component, ensuring accurate reading s every time. The jaws of crocodile clip feature copper/silver inlay and are insulated from each other by plastic moulding, allowing for four connections to be facilitated by only two clips. The leads are supplied in 1m length as standard, but any length can be supplied upon request. As the resistance of the wire plays no part in the measuring, this does not affect accuracy of the meter.

M210/9A set of leads is supplied with M210 Milliohm Meter as standard, there is no need to purchase one separately unless a replacement or spare set are needed.

  • Standard lead set as supplied with M210 Milliohm Meters
  • 4-terminal connection facilitated by two crocodile clips
  • Can be supplied in any length (1m supplied as standard if not specified)
  • The length of the leads does not affect accuracy of measurement
